CCC certification, commonly known as 3C certification, stands for "China Compulsory Certification," which is implemented by establishing a catalog of compulsory certified products and carrying out mandatory testing and audits for products included in the catalog. Products that have not obtained certification from designated certification bodies and have not been marked with certification logos are strictly prohibited from importation, factory sales, and use in business service venues.

According to the requirements of the State Administration for Market Regulation's document No. 34 of 2019, explosion-proof electrical products were included in the scope of CCC certification management starting from October 1, 2019. Before October 1, 2020, domestically produced products of the above category should be manufactured, sold, or used in other business activities with valid production permits or CCC certifications. For enterprises that have obtained production permits, if the aforementioned products cease production after October 1, 2020, they are not required to apply for CCC certification; otherwise, they should submit certification applications as soon as possible and obtain CCC certification before October 1, 2020.
